API Connections

Add, sync and manage your exchange connections.

Connect exchange accounts from Settings → API & Exchanges.

Performax is read-only. It reads trades, balances, positions, funding, and related account history. It never places, edits, or cancels orders.

Read-only keys only. Use read-only API keys only. Do not enable trading permissions. Do not enable withdrawal permissions. If an exchange groups read access under a broader API permission category, disable every order-placement and withdrawal capability inside that category before using the key with Performax.

Demo account. Real credentials are encrypted and never shown again after save.

Supported exchanges

Before you connect

Prepare:

• A read-only key created directly on the exchange.
• Trading permission disabled.
• Withdrawal permission disabled.
• API secret and passphrase copied once when the exchange shows them.
• IP restrictions disabled unless support has confirmed the current Performax outbound IP guidance.

Performax encrypts credentials before storing them and does not display the secret or passphrase again after save.

Binance

Binance covers three product lines: Spot, USD-M futures, and COIN-M futures. When you add the account you choose which of these Performax tracks. Spot and USD-M futures are selected by default; COIN-M is opt-in.

1. Open Binance API Management.
2. Create a new system-generated API key.
3. Enable Reading only. Do not enable spot, margin, or futures trading. Do not enable withdrawals.
4. Copy the API key and secret key. Binance shows the secret only once.
5. In Performax, open Settings → API & Exchanges → Add Account.
6. Select Binance.
7. Paste the API key and secret.
8. Choose the products to track: Spot, USD-M futures, COIN-M futures.
9. Add a clear account label.
10. Save.

Binance has no API passphrase. COIN-M is off by default; enable it in the product selection if you trade coin-margined contracts. If a coin was delisted from Binance spot but still trades as a perpetual (for example XMR), its Journal chart is sourced from the futures market.

OKX

1. Open OKX API Management.
2. Create a new API key.
3. Set the key for read-only access. Disable order placement and withdrawal capability.
4. Set a passphrase. This is not your OKX login password.
5. Copy the API key, secret key, and passphrase.
6. In Performax, open Settings → API & Exchanges → Add Account.
7. Select OKX.
8. Paste the API key, secret, and passphrase.
9. Add a clear account label.
10. Save.

Expected result: Performax validates the key, creates the account card, and starts the first sync.

WEEX

1. Open WEEX API Management.
2. Create a new API key.
3. Set permissions to read-only. Disable order placement and withdrawals.
4. Set a passphrase.
5. Copy the API key, secret key, and passphrase.
6. In Performax, open Settings → API & Exchanges → Add Account.
7. Select WEEX.
8. Paste the API key, secret, and passphrase.
9. Add a clear account label.
10. Save.

WEEX spot trade history is limited by the exchange API. Performax persists the fills it sees after connection, but older spot trades made before connection may not be recoverable.

Hyperliquid

1. Open Hyperliquid.
2. Connect the wallet you trade with.
3. Generate an API key if your account setup exposes one.
4. In Performax, open Settings → API & Exchanges → Add Account.
5. Select Hyperliquid.
6. Enter the requested wallet and credential fields.
7. Add a clear account label.
8. Save.

If your Hyperliquid account uses a HIP-3 builder DEX, Performax can show a follow-up HIP-3 configuration dialog after the account is added.

Lighter

Lighter uses your wallet address to identify the account and an API token for private account data.

1. Open Lighter.
2. Connect the wallet you trade with.
3. Open the account or API settings.
4. Generate an API token.
5. Copy the wallet address and API token.
6. In Performax, open Settings → API & Exchanges → Add Account.
7. Select Lighter.
8. Paste the wallet address in the API key field.
9. Paste the API token in the secret field.
10. Add a clear account label.
11. Save.

Account limits

Centralized exchanges are limited to one connected account per exchange. Wallet-based exchanges can support multiple wallets, subject to plan limits.

If the app blocks a new connection, remove an unused account or check the plan limit shown in the UI.

Auto-sync

After a successful connection:

• First sync imports historical trades and account data.
• Live or near-real-time updates run while the app is open when supported.
• Background sync keeps accounts fresh on a regular cadence.
• Manual sync is available from the app sidebar and account cards.

Avoid repeatedly pressing manual sync. Requests queue by exchange and account.

Troubleshooting

Invalid key

Create a fresh read-only key. Most exchanges show the secret only once.

Passphrase error

Re-enter the exact API passphrase created with the key. It is case-sensitive and is not your exchange login password.

IP restriction error

Remove the IP restriction or contact [e-mail] for the current allowlisting guidance.

No trades imported

Check:

• The selected account has closed trades.
• The first sync has finished.
• The date range includes the trades.
• The exchange API exposes that history.
