# Preferences

> Notifications, sync behavior and plan limits.

Use Preferences for notification behavior, sync behavior, and plan-limit visibility.

## Notification channels

Performax can send notifications through:

* Email
* Browser push

Use the toggles on this page to decide which events can use email or browser notifications. Some events can also appear as in-app toasts.

## Notification triggers

| Trigger          | Meaning                                                     |
| ---------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------- |
| Daily loss limit | Fires when your configured daily loss threshold is reached. |
| Max drawdown     | Fires when your configured drawdown alert is reached.       |
| Monthly goal     | Fires when your configured goal condition is reached.       |
| Coach violations | Fires when an active Coach rule is violated.                |
| API key errors   | Fires when exchange credentials fail during sync.           |
| AI daily summary | Sends the AI-generated daily summary when available.        |

Every trigger is based on your configured settings and available data. It is not a recommendation to trade or stop trading.

## Auto-sync

Auto-sync keeps connected accounts fresh in the background.

| Control         | Behavior                                                          |
| --------------- | ----------------------------------------------------------------- |
| Smart interval  | Sync cadence adapts to account activity and exchange limits.      |
| Manual sync     | Queues a sync for the selected account or all accounts.           |
| Pause auto-sync | Stops scheduled background sync for the account until re-enabled. |

Manual sync does not bypass exchange rate limits. Repeated clicks can queue duplicate work rather than make the exchange faster.

## Plan limits

Plan limits can cap:

* connected exchange accounts;
* active strategies;
* saved filter presets;
* AI messages;
* PDF exports.

When you hit a limit, the app shows the current limit and whether you can add more. Delete an unused item or upgrade when paid plans are available.

## Safe support

If a notification or sync setting looks wrong, send support the account label, exchange, error text, and approximate time. Do not send secrets or screenshots with visible credentials.
