# Create an account

> Sign up with Google or email and password.

Create a Performax account with Google or email/password.

## Sign up with Google

1. Open [performax.ai/register](https://performax.ai/register).
2. Click **Continue with Google**.
3. Select the Google account to use.
4. Approve the requested authentication permissions.

Expected result: Performax redirects you into onboarding without email verification.

## Sign up with email

1. Open [performax.ai/register](https://performax.ai/register).
2. Enter your email.
3. Choose a password.
4. Complete the captcha.
5. Click **Create account**.
6. Open the confirmation email from `noreply@performax.ai`.
7. Click the confirmation link.

Expected result: the account becomes active after email confirmation.

If the email does not arrive, check spam and verify the address was typed correctly. Do not create multiple accounts with the same exchange credentials while troubleshooting.

## Onboarding

After the first sign-in, Performax asks for:

| Trading profile     | Initial capital, base currency, trading style | Used by account-level metrics and display defaults. |
| Risk settings       | Risk per trade, daily limit, drawdown alert   | Used by risk widgets and rule defaults.             |
| Main weakness       | Tilt, fear, overtrading, or discipline        | Used to focus AI and Coach language.                |
| Coaching style      | Defensive, aggressive, or balanced            | Controls the tone of AI coaching text.              |
| Exchange connection | First read-only exchange account              | Lets Performax import real trading data.            |

You can skip exchange connection during onboarding and add it later from **Settings → API & Exchanges**.

## Day-one state

After signup, expect:

* Dashboard to show empty states until an exchange is connected.
* Journal to stay empty until first sync imports trades.
* AI Assistant to have limited context until trade history exists.
* Risk and Analytics metrics to require trades, balances, cashflows, and risk settings.
